Loving Every Moment...Even at 3am

Lilah,
These last 6 and half months have flown by so quickly and you are changing every day right before our eyes! Your legs have filled out, your smiles fill up our mornings before work, and your giggles are contagious!

You're definitely a wiggle worm! You're trying so hard to crawl and taking your 6 month picture turned into quite the free for all....the out takes were too good not to include in this post!

You are definitely a messy, but good eater! Some of your favorites are sweet potatoes, apples, pears, blueberries, squash,  and peaches. You're NOT a fan of the green beans or peas...however, your dad and I try to sneak a few bites in here and there...you never seem too impressed.
We started using a sippee cup with a little bit of water! This is from the first night! You're such a natural! However, now with all of our drinks, you want to get your tiny hands on it too!

You're such a supporter of all our favorite teams! Here you are with your Blair Bear jersey and tutu for Homecoming! We didn't make it to the football game. You and dad fell asleep on the couch while I was getting ready. It ended up being a nice quiet night at home!

We LOVE this picture! It's like you already know you're adorable...I think we're in for a treat....

This face just makes us smile!

Here is one of your MANY NFL jerseys!

Here you are enjoying some Ali time! She's one of mommy's seniors on her softball team. You are swarmed with hugs and kisses after each game you go to!

Your curiosity for the things around you is so wonderful! We know you're soaking up everything around you and it makes me so excited for the years to come.

You can really BOUNCE in this thing!

Checking out all the colorful buttons

Just when we thought you couldn't get any cuter....

If I Were a Cow
This book we have been reading to you since you were only a few weeks old. Now, you finally are enjoying all the pictures and the even turn the pages!

You've made a new "friend" and screaming at her is becoming quite a fun game!

This is about the only time you sleep...

Since you only take two 45 minute naps a day, you crash pretty hard at night...for a few hours...then you're up at 11...1...3...5! We're hoping that you finally start sleeping through the night like many of your friends!

Things are Changing...

Summer is officially over.

We have been in school for 3 weeks now and it doesn't seem possible that you could change so fast and so much can happen in that short of a time.

Here are a few photos of you to wrap up our summer vacation together...

We can't get enough of this smile!

Your last day of summer with the girls

Enjoying putt-putt golf

We watched the girls do the rock climb

Daycare:
You have been sharing your smiles and giggles each week day with Bob and Jackie. You are absolutely loving being over there! From watching the other kids play, bouncing in the bouncer, hanging out in the back yard to playing with their dogs...life doesn't get much better for you! Each morning when I drop you off (tear) you are all smiles and seem to want to leap out of my arms to play with everyone else! Lucky for me, Jackie's granddaughter is in my 3rd grade class this year and she tells me little stories about you to brighten my day when I'm really missing you.

Bumps, bruises, cuts, and coughs...
You've suffered from your first of many injuries. While sitting up...that's right...you can sit up now!! You tumbled to your side and bonked your head on the bottom metal piece of the footrest in your bedroom. I know you're going to be tough though. There were no tears and only a few moments of panic. You sported a nice bruise on your forehead for a few days. You also are a pro at cutting yourself with your fingernails. We never can find the culprit, but we trim them the best we can in hopes you don't get yourself again! The COUGH! Oh goodness...this kept not only you up all night for a week, but your dad and I as well. Thankfully it was only a cold and after many boogie wipes, some baby vicks and the humidifier running, you finally kicked the cold. Here's to hopefully some restful nights in our future!

FOOOOOD!
I can't believe it! You are eating food now! We have been eating breakfast and dinner together for the last month and a half. So far you have been a fan of rice cereal, apple/banana rice cereal, sweet potatoes (your favorite), and bananas. The strike out so far as been avocados. You wore most of that dinner.

Your love for your furry friends...
Sherbert has become one of your best buddies. Each night you are so excited to see him and we sit by you and help you pet him "softly". Lately, you have been trying to eat his tail, which oddly he doesn't seem to care! We are still working on Puzzo...he keeps his distance still. However, both sleep outside your door at night and sometimes even by your crib. They are such protective older brothers!

Gardening
You have a great green thumb, like you dad and very unlike me! At night, dad takes you outside and you help him water the garden. Sometimes he even lets you play in the hose. You guys have had quite the crop this summer and have picked tons of tomatoes, peppers. eggplant, and spinach.

You're 5 months....wow it is going waaay too fast!

The best part of all my days though, is your sweet kisses (you pretty much are just sucking on my cheek!) and giggles!

Month 4 in your little, BIG Life

Lilah,
You are becoming quite the wiggle worm! Your dad and I tried to get a good photo of you when you turned four months...needless to say this is what we got...

At least you were having a good time!
*Pictured is your turtle that you LOVE and We're Going on a Bear Hunt.
We read every day...we're still trying to figure out if you like it or not...you just yell at the books!
We capped off your 4 month birthday with a walk to get icecream (well...your dad and I enjoyed a bowl...you just slept!)

You and Sherbert are becoming better friends. You shake your hands really fast and get all excited when he comes over to play. Puzzo doesn't really show much interest in you yet...he just lays there...but he's a little lazy. I'm sure that will change once you're mobile!

Notice you're wearing shoes...that didn't last long.
You kicked them off before we even left.
You attended your first wedding this month! Our good friends Gatsby and David tied the knot! You sported this beautiful pink flowered dress. You did a great job during the cocktail hour and through the ceremony. Once dinner hit though, you weren't having it and we left early. Boo!

The dreaded 4 month shots happened this month. You were a champ, just like you were the last round of shots. After a two quick pokes and a few minutes of tears, you were back to your normal happy self. You also took a GREAT nap that afternoon.

We went to the pool for the first time this month as well. Lauren and Paige escorted us to the baby pool were the water was about 6 inches deep. We started slow and dipped just your toes, then up to your knees and then finally up to your belly. You weren't sure what to think about it at first, but once you figured out you could splash you were all for it! We laid you on your belly across my arm and "swam" as well as "floated" on your back! You're a natural fish!

The CRIB
You have successfully been sleeping in your crib EVERY night! Your dad and I are so proud of you! It hasn't been hard putting your down at all. As soon as we lay you down though, you immediately roll to your belly. This scared me (still does) and I'm constantly checking the monitor to make sure you're breathing and that your face isn't pushed into the mattress. You're going to bed around 9pm every night and waking up to eat around 1 and 5am. We are pretty happy with that and are feeling like we're finally getting some sleep! Your are quite the wild sleeper however...check out your feet here...

We are still working on naps...
*This is a picture taken from the baby monitor. You kept staring at the green light and refused to nap.

TIME FOR FOOD!
You have been taking interest in our food lately and obviously we can't give you what we're eating, but we did get the green light to start you on some rice cereal! Yah!! Here is a video of your VERY FIRST time trying it! After a few weeks, we are going to try a veggie :)

You attended another softball (slowpitch) game! You cheered on your mom and after the game "ran" to first. Here you are getting your footing on first base. I can't wait until we can play catch!

BONUS CUTENESS:
Cuddling
Chubby Thighs!

Gnawing on the beagle G got you!

Cranky face
Oh Hey!

The good news is that month four is only half way done so I'm sure there will be plenty of extra updates to add on!

Love you!
