Our Eventful Month
7
This is where we started our month 7! So much has changed in just a few short weeks!
You took another long road trip and this time it was up North to Fargo for my NDSU Alumni weekend! You got to meet some very important people in my life! You experienced your first tailgating party (even though you snoozed through most of it), ate in the RDC and were spoiled beyond measure with all the hugs and kisses that you could possibly eat up!
Play
date with Colin
You’re
not the only one getting big in a hurry! Your friend Colin and you had another
play date. His mommy and daddy made the big people dinner and the two of your
exchanged happy looks and lots of drool toys. We can’t wait for you two to have
many more play dates!
Furry
Boots
With
winter approaching your toes are bound to get cold. We FINALLY mastered you
keeping your socks on and have now moved on to shoes. The first pair we bought
you were adorable (navy with white polka dots and pink trim). We are still
trying to get you to put them on. When we attempt we are getting lots of tears
and a flexed foot. I did find a pair of furry boots that have successfully
stayed on for longer than 10 minutes. They either get kicked off or you play
with them and rip them off…but we’ll take it as a win!
Crazy
Hair
Rocking
Horse
Papa
got you a wooden rocking horse and even though you’re not quite big enough for
it, we had to take a picture to send to him.
Park
Your
daddy and I took you to the park one Sunday morning. We played on the swings,
went down the slide, and climbed up a playground pole. We expect to have many
more family dates like that in our future!
Playing
in Leaves
Toy
Boxes
Our
living room has turned into your play area. We filled fabric boxes with toys
and books, which you continuously hunt through to find your favorite one.
Skype
with Raquel
We’ve
missed our friend Raquel so we had a wonderful Skype date where she helped you
get ready for bed.
Watching
Football
You
love watching football with your daddy. Your expressions not only crack us up
but are suiting for a true football fan.
Halloween
Cute cannot even describe how you looked
on Halloween night! You were an absolutely adorable little brown mouse. A few
months ago, we purchased a 6-9 month costume from Carters and the weeks leading
up to Halloween I was crossing my fingers and toes that it would still fit! As
you can see, it was pretty snug, but boy were you happy in it! You were rolling
around and toppling over (the extra padding cushioned your fallJ ). That night, we visited
Jackie and Bob at Daycare. We also went to see Heather who is expecting her
little boy Milo to join this world any day now! After that we ventured over to
your daddy’s friend Duey’s where we ran into Heather’s husband JD and their gorgeous
little girl, Alice. You were both pretty entranced in each other’s costume. By
the time we got home, you were exhausted. I’d say even though you couldn’t
indulge in the yummy chocolates, your first Halloween was a success.
Husker
Game
You
and I were fortunate enough for Raquel to invite us to the Husker game last
Saturday. You had such a wonderful time! Her little sister, Rose, who will be
one next month, and you played, giggled, and stared at each other. We took some
wonderful photos to capture all the fun we had that day!
Playing
with Papa
Here
you are on Papa’s kitchen table. You kept putting the newspaper in your mouth
and he was having to wrestle it away from you!
Story
Time with Grandma
Here
you are with grandma “reading” a book. You love story time. Especially before
we go to bed each night after we brush our teeth.
Day
with Grandma Marian
Your
daddy and I ran some errands one Sunday afternoon so you got to hang out at our
house with grandma Marian and your cousin Lyric.
Sleep
Finally!
We are starting to make some progress in this department! You are currently
taking one 2 hour nap at daycare. When you get home you take a quick cat nap
before dinner. Then at 8pm you’re in your jammies with a full tummy and in your
crib. You wake up around one where daddy takes the first shift and gives you a
full bottle. Then around 4am you have been waking up, but after another short
feeding you’re back in bed until you’re up for good at 6am. We are feeling so
much more rested and it appears you are too!
